Bron Nant Self-Catering Holiday Cottage in Snowdonia North Wales

Our Guests Comments

"July 2011. The best word to describe Bron Nant is IDYLLIC! It is a beautiful, cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage in a peaceful, rural location. Jeremy and Ceinwen have provided everything that you could possibly need for a wonderful holiday, including lots of information to help you to explore and enjoy the local area. However, there is plenty to do at Bron Nant itself, including board games, books, films, kayaking (in Bron Nant's very own pool) and Wi-fi. When you eventually retire for the night, another pleasure awaits as the beds are the most comfortable that you could possibly imagine. If you are lucky enough to stumble upon this website (as we were) make sure you book some time at wonderful Bron Nant, you will definitely not be disappointed."

"I have just spent the weekend in Bron-Nant.....Now i want to be really selfish and say that my stay here was not very nice so it doesnt get over popular for when i re-book! But i cant do that because this place is so magical that everyone deserves to see the creation that has been built in "Gods Country". You will not fail to enjoy yourselves and be looked after any better than you could imagine. There are so many nice touches to the cottage that i wouldnt know where to start appraising. If you have been fortunate enough to stumble across this website or been told about it do yourselves a favour book it and enjoy it!! "

"We had a lovely 2 night stay exploring the local area, loads to do. This is an exceptionally well finished and fitted traditional, cosy and functional cottage. Amazing location, so peaceful but only a short trip to the pub. Even though the weather was wet and windy, we always felt at home once we were in front of the fire. im recommending this cottage to all my friends and family."

""A destination in Itself!"
Traveling all the way from Florida to North Wales, we chose Bron-Nant as one of our stops in the UK for the quintessential cottage experience. A perfect location – remote yet a short drive to everything scenic in Snowdonia, and well-based for visits to castles in North Wales. The cottage itself is a unique treat, combining fine wood craftsmanship that one rarely sees anywhere, the charm of an old stone cottage and bucolic location among sheep farms in a sleepy hamlet, and such modern comforts as cozy under-floor heating! (After spending a few days in a charming but drafty little cottage in the Cotswolds, this felt like pure luxury!) Our hosts Jeremy and Ceinwen (next door just down the road, and always accessible but never intrusive) were wonderful, leaving us a welcome note and breakfast treats in the kitchen (so helpful since we hadn’t had time to get groceries). Jeremy also gave us directions for a scenic drive through Snowdonia so that we could make the most of our short time in the area. We never would have found the tiny one-lane roads up in the hills with vistas all around, dodging sheep along the way. We felt so lucky to have found such a beautiful place in this lovely corner of the country, and such gracious hosts to show it to us. I hope we’ll have time to return to Wales one day, which will always have a special place in our memories.

"6 adults and 1 child spent 3 nights and 4 days in this cottage in early December 2010 with everywhere covered in snow and ice and we could not have had more of a fantastic time. The Cottage is fantastic, the owners absolutely very friendly, the locals were very friendly. Great views and walks. We would recommend this place to anyone and YES we definitely do plan to return."

""The perfect escape"

Last summer my family and I took a holiday to Wales as a much needed get-away from our busy lives. We stayed in the cottage at Betws-y-Coed for 6 nights, and it was such a fantastic experience!
The whole cottage is clearly a work of love, as it was created, built and decorated by Jeremy Ceinwen and their friends. The place is so warm and welcoming, complete with the lovely personal touches that you'd never get in a hotel or hostel. Perhaps my favourite parts of the cottage were the bunkbeds in one of the upstairs rooms - a beautiful and innovative design that seemed to merge the beds into the wide wooden beams of the wall and roof space. And so comfy!
As a family we spent many gorgeous afternoons enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the cottage - taking in the views, walking in the woods and even BBQ-ing on the patio outside one sunny evening. My brother also took advantage of the brilliant mountain-biking trail that is almost on the doorstep, having hired a bike from a shop in nearby Betwys-y-Coed. We were also within driving distance of many beautiful ridges, mountains and lakes, which provided excellent hiking and sight-seeing. Another of my highlights was swimming in the natural pool at the side of the cottage - an exhilarating and lovely experience.
Overall this vacation home has so much to offer and can cater for everyone, from the out-doorsy hiker to the stressed hard-worker looking for a relaxing getaway. It was the perfect escape from the craziness of everyday life, and I would go back tomorrow if I could!

"We really loved our stay in Bron Nant. After flying in from NZ to manchester airport to begin our european tour it was a perfect location for a restful family getaway. We really enjoyed the cottage, our thoughtful hosts and found that we had everything we needed right there. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the swing and grassy area to play on as we sipped our lattes on the deck chairs. It was a perfect time and the only bummer is we had to leave after our time was up. Coming from New Zealand it was amazing to see the detail and uniqueness in the building itself, matched with the Welsh landscape, it was beauty itself. Can't wait till next time."

"Loved the cottage and all the personal touches. Even when the weather was bad there was still much to do, local walks lovely straight from the cottage. Didn't jump in the pool but might next visit. Thanks"

"We have stayed at Bron Nant 3 times now and have loved it every time. The cottage is clean, warm and comfortable, and has been funished beautifully. I would have no hesitation in recomending the cottage as a place to stay."

"Can you keep a secret? Thought not!
You know what it’s like when you find something extra special – you obviously want to keep it a secret right! So it’s with great reluctance that we spill the beans on this Welsh Shangri-La.
Bron Nant is such a delight, the perfect retreat as we found when we booked it for a week last October for a late family holiday.
Exploring the house is full of thoughtful surprises laid on by mine hosts Jeremy Ceinwen – McWilliams it’s got every practical facility and more, with its unique nooks and crannies, a place to really breathe, ponder and reflect.
You’ll also be blown away by the magnificent views as you swing on the rope chair dipping soldiers into a free range boiled egg purchased from the neighbours hens, whilst watching the kids enjoying canoeing the dam.
Sound a bit over the top? Taste and see, but please don’t tell anyone else…..promise!
Finally in our opinion the house name should be changed to Serendipity, can’t wait for our return stay.

"Bron-Nant Holiday Cottage

I watched the stars as I lay in bed
the window inches from my head.
We heard the owl hoot in the trees,
Enjoyed the view, the sheep, the breeze.
Too cold to dip my toes in water –
Unlike my foolish, darling daughter!
Admired the craftsmanship in wood –
looked around and all was good.
Ryan liked the games and toys –
then ruined peace with all his noise!
We loved the time that we spent here
and hope to come again next year.

"The perfect holiday in the perfect place, only one negative thing about it all was that we had to leave in the end!"
Jane Alex

"Came from Germany, loved the cottage, the local walks, swiming in the stream pool, meeting friendly people, and most of all just being able to relax and do nothing!! Never been to a place where it is silent, just natural sounds. Thanks"
Hans Lara

"Much more then we expected. A five star cottage at three star rate. Beautifully crafted, comfortable and lots of helpful information about things to do each day in the area. We will be back!"
