Sitting Room

The sitting room has a comfortable three piece suite, rocking chair, writing or computing desk, stereo sound system, TV and broad band. The central peace is an antique German cast iron wood burning stove. The stove will burn both wood and coal and these are supplied as required at a small extra cost. Once lit on a cold evening the atmosphere is very cosy and tranquil. The stove also heats the hot water and can be used to keep a pot of coffee and cakes warm. All round lighting with dimmer switches to create just the right atmosphere!

Kitchen

The kitchen, which is open plan with the sitting room (separated by the stairs) is hand crafted in hard wood. There is a pleasant combination of Yew, Maple and Oak to create a truly unique cooking experience. A large kitchen table provides ample seating for up to eight people on a long wooden bench and four seats. Appliances include, recessed sink in a solid Oak worktop, ceramic hob, integrated fridge and dishwasher.

A face height double oven is located in the utility room. There is also a well stocked wine rack which guests are welcome to sample and we only ask that you replace what you use with wine of your own choice or pay £6.00. The cottage is serviced by portable mains water. The floor is covered with Travertine natural stone slabs.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom situated on the first floor has hand crafted double bed with two drawers on each side. Individual bedside lights and hand made bedside tales with door and drawer. The ceiling rises to the pitch of the roof allowing all the roof timber to remain exposed. Wash basin is attractively recessed into the wall with a full mirror and spot lights. The room has an en-suit power shower and toilet brightly lit by a velux roof window. Floor covering is a very warm wall to wall carpet.

Second Bedroom

Second bedroom is also situated on the first floor. Four full sized bunk beds have been attractively built into the main structure of the building. Each bunk is completely private with dividing wall, curtain, reading light, double socket, shelf and storage space. Two of the bunks even have wired broadband outlets. The room is also open ceiling with all timber frames visible. An en-suite power shower, sink, toilet and towel rail service this room. Flooring is covered by wall to wall carpet.

Sleeping Loft & Utility Room

In an extension to the building there is a downstairs utility room which is equipped with washing machine, dryer, drying rack, freezer and face height double oven. There is storage space for fruit and vegetables in wicker baskets. Above the utility room is a small stair case/ladder which leads to a very cosy sleeping loft. This is furnished with two adult mattresses on a carpeted floor with one Velux window directly above each bed affording wonderful views of the night sky as you sleep. Each bed has a reading light, double socket and broadband connection.

The sleeping loft is serviced by its own bathroom on the ground floor. This is equipped with a bath/shower, sink and toilet. This bathroom is also very useful to people with disability needs.

Conservatory

The entrance porch/conservatory has a large boot rack and seating area from which one has pleasant views of the hills and stunning sunsets through interestingly crafted double glassed windows and medieval front door.

Grounds

The grounds around Bron-Nant offer many places to relax and enjoy the expansive views of the countryside!  The Mountain pool next to the Cottage is filled by the stream from April 1 to Nov 1.  It is allowed to empty in the winter months so that the silt disperses and prevents flooding.
