Bron-Nant is a lovely traditional stone cottage with quality self catering holiday accommodation for up to 8 near Betws-y-Coed in Snowdonia, North Wales. The cottage was built around 1750, and was lovingly renovated between 2004 and 2009. Now available for special holidays and secluded retreats.
The cottage offers three sleeping options for up to eight people. Choose from a spacious Master bedroom to a 4 bed “Swiss style” Bunk room - both en-suite. Or maybe the “Crog Loft” is for you - floor mattresses with skylights - ideal for “star gazers.” - with separate downstairs bath/shower with w/c.
The name of our cottage, Bron-Nant, means “On the brow of the hill beside a brook”. This aptly describes this lovely holiday cottage, situated five miles from Betws-y-Coed in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park. Set at an elevation of 750ft and facing south west, it offers unobscured views of the hills and peaks of the Snowdon range, and stunning sunsets can be enjoyed throughout the year.
Bron-Nant has its own tree-lined drive with parking space by the front door for four cars. The enclosed upper garden is perfect for children and pets and forms a dam for the brook. This has created a gorgeous, large natural pool ideal for swimming or canoeing. The corner of the garden also has a cosy snug with a covered swinging bench and turf roof. There is also a lower garden through which the brook meanders, which is a safe area of wonder and fun for children to play. It has a bench to relax on and read a book, a small trampoline, child swing and adult hammock. The brook is less than six inches deep most of the year, making it a great spot for paddling.
The ground floor has an open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room, spacious even for eight people. Everything in the cottage, from the windows to the dining room table, is bespoke and hand crafted. Bron Nant is a celebration of wood and pottery, making it like the home from home you have always dreamed of! The centrepiece is the large multi-fuel stove in the sitting room that gives the cottage a unique warmth and ambiance.

“This cottage is beautiful in a rustic way, all hand re furbished with fantastic carpentry. The cottage has all you need for a very comfortable and cosy stay. It is extremely peaceful with lovely views. Winnie the dog who likes to pay a visit is so friendly and adorable as is the cat. We loved the location, away from the typical tourist traps yet easy to get to many places. Snowdon under an hour away. Local Londis in the village is very useful and much used by ourselves . The host was very friendly and greeted us and said goodbye on leaving which is something we value. Highly recommended staying here, you will not be disappointed.”

"This place IS amazing. A cottage built beautifully and with so much care and attention to detail and equipped with everything you need and much more. Lovely gardens and the lakeside pool is a treat. The location is peaceful, easy to find and only a 5 minuted drive to Betws-y-Coed. Lots to do and see all around you. Thanks Jeremy and Ceinwen, we will be back. :)"

"Wow, Wow, Wow! A whole house with an enchanting garden, a stream, pool, lots of seating areas, fields of sheep. Peace. Tranquility. I never wanted to leave. The cottage had everything you could need. The owner Jeremy is a carpenter and when the house was renovated he made so many things out of wood it is incredible, the cute window frames, latch doors, tables, stairs, cupboards, beds.... The beds were so comfortable, we all had the best sleep ever. Three bathrooms. Plenty to do in the area nearby. Would love to return again sometime."

"Since the minute I walked inside the house I fell in love with the place. So clean, so cosy, so spacious, so warm! I can’t think of anything that’s missing to be honest. The fireplace in the living room makes everything so much lovelier for the times when it’s chilly outside otherwise you just literally wanna sit outside and stare at the wonderful landscape view. I didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much to the host for knowing what guest’s needs are. Nailed it."

There are a variety of walks right from Bron-Nant’s front door - uphill into a pine forest, or down to our friendly pub, church, and well stocked shop. There are also three great activities available within the valley: a 22 km challenging mountain-bike track, a trekking and riding stable, and guided underground caving expedition. You are also, of course, a short drive away from many of Snowdonia’s most breath-taking and best-loved activity spots and sights, including Snowdon itself. Popular outdoor centre Plas y Brenin is just 10 miles from the cottage, and Betws-y-Coed’s ample restaurants and shops are a 10 minute drive down the hill. Online grocery deliveries are also a great option while staying at Bron Nant.
